Who we are
The Bel Air Jazz Ensemble is a subsidiary of the Bel Air Community Band (BACB). It was formed in 1998, allowing the members of the BACB the opportunity to perform and share with the community our love of jazz. Our musical repertoire comprises of jazz, rock, Latin, dance, disco, and R & B, from the 30's to today. The group is comprised of 18 musicians and a vocalist in the mold of the Big Band era groups. Over the last decade, the ensemble has performed for business functions, dances, wedding receptions, parties, and concerts. Since its inception, the band has been under the direction of Mr. C. Scott Sharnetzka.
